Video modal section

Last update:

The video modal section gives you the ability to showcase a YouTube or Vimeo video in a modal. It’s similar to the Video section with the extra ability to add a heading, description, button, and background image.

Section settings

Make section fullwidth: Setting the section to fullwidth will make it span across the entire browser viewport.

Height: Set the height of the section (Small, Medium, Large)

Background image: Set a background image that will cover the entire section.

Overlay background: Optional gradient background to be used as an overlay (over the image and below the content).

Heading: The title of the section.

Description: A brief description that appears above the title.

Button label: The text of the button that will open the video modal.

Cover image: The cover image for the video when it opens in the modal.

URL: The YouTube or Vimeo URL. You can simply paste either the link from your browser’s bar or the URL that YouTube or Vimeo gives when attempting to share a video.

Video description: Optionally describe your video to make it accessible for customers using screen readers.

Auto-play video: Choose whether you want the video to start playing automatically as soon as the modal is opened. This applies on desktop only, as it is forbidden in most mobile devices to auto play a video with sound.

Colors

Color scheme: Select one of the predefined color schemes as defined in Theme settings > Colors. For more information regarding the color schemes please refer to our article about creating your own color scheme.

Section spacing

The section spacing settings gives you the option to adjust the top & bottom section spacing values. Please note: If you select a color scheme with a background color, these settings will affect the spacing between the top or bottom of the section and the content of the section.
