Product suggestions

Enable product suggestions: Your customers will receive product suggestions while typing search terms.

Number of results: Set the maximum number of results (1-10). The default is 4.

“Number of results” applies to these result types: You can choose where the “Number of results” filter applies to. There are two options:

• “All” will limit the total amount of results to the number of results above, e.g. if it’s set to “10”, search will return a combination of products, collections, articles, or pages, that does not exceed 10 in total.
• “Each” will limit the amount of results to the number of results above per result type, i.e. 10 products, 10 collections, 10 articles, etc.

Search filter type: If you want to offer your customers more granular control over their product searches, a dropdown menu is available with the following options: None (this disables the menu), Vendor (search by vendor), Product type (search by product type) and Tag (search by tag).

Show vendor: Display the vendor title alongside the other information for each search result like the product title.

Show price: Similar behavior as the Show vendor option.

Show unavailable products: If for any reason you want to show unavailable products in the product suggestions, use this option to toggle their visibility (Show, Hide, Show unavailable after available).

Predictive search result types

These options determine the result types that will appear on the dynamic suggestions that appear below the search bar, if “Enable product suggestions” is checked, and while typing search terms.

Apart from products, you may also show other types of results on the predictive search bar, such as search suggestions, collections, articles and pages.

Search page result types

The options determine the result types that will appear on the search results page.

Apart from products, you may also show other types of results like articles and pages.
