Athens 2.0 – Filters section, review app integrations, and many more new additions
Your feedback has always been pivotal for the Athens theme’s development, and this new release embraces several features that many of you have been eager to see. Athens version 2.0 is packed with new features and fixes.
New Filters section
Athens’s new Filters section, is designed to streamline the product search and discovery process for your customers. Create hierarchical filtering through your most important collections and product options in a standout section and allow your customers to discover what’s most important to them, quickly.
Extending review app integrations
Customer reviews are an integral part of online shopping experiences, and so, enhancing support for review apps has been a priority. With this update, we’ve expanded support to include Judge.me, Stamped, and Yotpo review apps, allowing your customers to share and read experiences with more flexibility. Note that Athens remains compatible with all rating apps in the Shopify app store.
Font size & color setting for prices
The new font size and color settings for product prices allow you to align the pricing displays with your overall design aesthetics. Whether on the grid or single product pages, ensuring that pricing information is clear and in harmony with your brand identity has been made simpler.
Other notable updates
Cart discounts visibility: Discounts applied to carts will now be displayed in the mini cart drawer as well, keeping customers informed about their savings as they proceed to checkout.
Image banners section: With support for up to 8 columns on the Image banners section, you can now display more content in areas that matter. The Image banners section is now also available to be placed in the footer of your store.
Custom badges: Custom badges are now available to be displayed in the product page (and the featured product section) as well.
Product image disclaimers: The new image disclaimer field in the main product and featured product sections aids in offering additional information about your products’ images.
“Time to read” for your blog posts: The new “Time to read” block on blog posts provides an estimated reading time, aiding visitors in managing their engagement.
